Serves: 6
Ingredients
  • 1 10 oz. bag of chocolate chips (milk or dark)
  • ¾ cup of green candy melts
  • ½ cup of colorful chocolate candies
  • ¼ cup of sprinkles
  • ¼ cup of candy eyes
Instructions
  1. Grease a sheet pan. (I use cooking spray)
  2. Pour melted (see melting methods in notes) chocolate chips over the sheet pan and use a spatula to smooth out and form an even layer about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Spoon 4 small clumps of the melted candy melts in the four corners of the chocolate layer.
  4. Use a toothpick to swirl the green candy melts around.
  5. Place your colorful candies and candy eyes around the chocolate in any pattern you prefer. Then top with your sprinkles.
  6. Place your sheet pan in the freezer for 1 hour. Remove the bark from freezer. Then you can either karate chop it or use your hands to break apart. Your choice :)
  7. Store in the refrigerator until ready to eat. Enjoy!
Notes
There are a couple methods to melt chocolate (or your candy melts):
Microwave - In a microwave safe container, microwave using your defrost setting. Melt for 30, then stop and stir. Then continue to microwave for 30 second intervals until smooth and completely melted.
Double Boiler - Fill lower pan with water to below level of top pan. Bring water to a gentle simmer. Place your chocolate in the top pan and stir occasionally until smooth and melted. (If you don't have a double-boiler, you can makeshift one by placing a heat-safe bowl on top of a pot)

I find candy melts easy to manage using the microwave method. But for the chocolate chips, I enjoy using the double-boiler method.

For this recipe you can use any color of candy melts you want (green, orange, white, red...). You just want a color that pops against the chocolate.
